THORSHAVN
dated -9.10.1974

Franked with a 70 øre Mail-carriers of 1624 and 1780 stamp
(SG 593)

Datestamp No 01.Sær.03
Type Bro IIId

This First Day cover was sent to Joker Invest Ltd, Tórshavn. The rate is unclear as the 70 øre (20g) letter rate finished on 14.06.1974 and the local letter rate has previously been abolished. The letter is therefore probably Philatelic.

This datestamp was in use from 01.06.1962 until 29.01.1975.

TRANGISVAAG
dated 30.1.37

Franked with a 40 øre yellow green Caravel stamp

Postcard sent to Denmark at the 20 øre Inland postcard rate applicable from 01.07.1952 until 14.04.1963.

KLAKSVIG
dated -8.5.1953

7 øre BREVKORT (mfg. 92-H) with aditional 1 øre blackish green Numeral stamp (SG265).

Datestamp No 03.Sær.01
Type Bro VIIc

Addressed to Sweden, the reverse of the card is totally blank and the card must be classed as very  philatelic.

This is possibly an example of the "Rene tryksager" rates that were applicable from 1950 to 1955 (a special form of Printed Matter - with nothing added) as this had a 8 øre rate (for 0-50g) from 1952 to 1955. It is still unclear if this rate applied to post from the Faroes to Sweden.

The card has two clear strikes of the first Klaksvig klipfisk cancel which was in use from 31.10.1935 until 31.05.1962.
