Interesting items of mail sent during the Danish Administration Period



Initially a THORSHAVN klipsvik postmark dated 18.12 35 (No. 01.Saer.01 Type Bro VIIc) was applied folloed by a MIDVAAG (No. 08.02 Type Uds) datestamp, applied at the time of re-direction.

Franked with a 15 øre Hans Andersen stamp
(SG 295, T 49)

15 øre was the Inland 50g letter rate applicable from 01.01.1927 until 09.07.1940.

The cancel also ties a Danish 1935 Christmas seal.

Unusually seen misdirected cover.
Addressed to KVIVIG but the village name has been read as MIDVAAG.
Cut at the left but with contents (two bills).
